Huon Pine grows along the wild rivers of Tasmania’s west coast, and grows extraordinarily slowly — living trees are among the oldest in the world. The species is protected, so the timber we use is salvaged: logs recovered from old harvests and river beds, and cut sparingly.
On the rosary
The beads are pale and silky, with a fine grain that takes a very smooth finish. Huon Pine carries a natural oil that gives it a clean, resinous fragrance which lingers for years; you will notice it every time you open the pouch.
Why we chose it
A timber that takes centuries to grow asks something of the person who holds it. Huon Pine is the rosary for those learning to wait.
